ABOUT
The House of Plants is a design collective created by students at the Faculty of Art, Music, and Design (UiB). Our plant-based pop-up initiative is designed to be an intervention into everyday life. Rooted in the idea that taking small steps can lead to impact on a larger scale, by connecting people with plants, we aim to inspire joy, compassion, and care for a more sustainable environment by connecting people with plants.
WHERE
The project takes place at Møllendalsveien bus stop. This is an easy accessible stop where lots of people come by everyday.
It’s a 10 minute bus ride from the city centre. The exhibition takes place in week 20, so keep your eyes open for unusual activity!
MANIFESTO
The Power of Plants
We believe that plant care is people care. Plants help us breathe. They heal us.
Learning to nurture and care for plants cultivates compassion for our environment. When we give, they give back. It’s a cycle by design. A symbiotic relationship that sustains us, a system that connects us to our roots.
Passion for plants is a ripple effect, where one small action will lead to a series of greater ones.
Surround yourself with the power of plants, and transcend from growth to balance with nature.
