Firstly choose where to plant your seeds. The easiest option is to use a pot or a container. It’s important that they have drainage holes. Fill the pot or container with potting rich (preferably with a pH 6.5-7.5) and water well. The seeds should be about 1 cm deep and 10 cm apart. You also need a slightly bigger container to place the pot with watercress in. Fill the bigger container with water.

HARVEST

The watercress loves to have wet feet, so make sure you keep water in the pot at all times. They are easy to take care for, but make sure there are no weeds that grow in the same area, as they will steal the nutrients or maybe the pot even!

It takes about 15- 20 days for the watercress to fully develop from their seed stage. It’s
easy to harvest. You snip what you need, and then you come back later for more after a few days.

RADISH

Choose a pot or a container to plant your seeds. Consider planting radish during the cooler parts of the year, like late in the spring or early in the fall, as they like cool temperatures. Sow the seeds about 1 cm deep. You just put them in the soil and poke them down slightly. They should be a few centimeters apart. Sprinkle some potting mix on top and water the soil. Dampened, not soaked.

Place in a sunny spot. About six hours of sunlight is desirable. Once they sprout use a spray bottle to mist the soil until it’s moist. Water regularly. The soil shouldn’t be particularly dry before watering them. This will help them grow quickly. If you were lucky to pick up a radish container, or if the chosen pot is too small, transplant the radish seedlings into bigger pots when they have two sets of leaves.

HARVEST

The radishes are ready for picking when it pops about 1 cm above the soil. If you leave them for too long, the taste might get bad. If they are not appearing from the soil, just gently dig with your finger until you get an idea of the size of the radish.

PARSLEY

Choose a container with drainage holes. Add a soil- less potting mix. The seeds should be 2-5 cm apart and about 1 cm deep into the soil. It can take 2-4 weeks before you see any seedlings! The soil should be moist while seeds germinate.

HARVEST

The parsley loves consistent moisture, so check regularly and water when the top of the plant becomes dry. Keep it in sunlight! Pick a spot where it gets full sun for about 6-8 hours. You can also use a grow light indoors to help the seedlings to grow.

When the parsley is large enough, harvest by cutting them at the base. You can harvest when the leaf stems have three segments. You shouldn’t cut more than one -third of the plant at a time!
